PREVIEW
Liverpool remain on course for the domestic cup double this season and they’ll head into their quarter-final clash in good spirits after hammering Everton 3-0 in the Merseyside derby on Tuesday evening. Steven Gerrard’s hat-trick was enough to see off the Toffees and he’ll be hungry for more after returning to full fitness.

Tuesday night’s victory was still only the fifth that the Reds’ supporters have witnesses in the league at home as the side have drawn too many times. Stoke were one of the clubs to frustrate Liverpool on their last visit in January as they forced a goalless draw. Liverpool have kept a clean sheet in each of Stoke’s previous four visits, which underlines the task ahead of Tony Pulis’ side.

Stoke have not enjoyed the same successes in the league that they did last year as they find themselves down in 13th place. The Potters continue to make life difficult for opponents with their no nonsense style and they’ll give Liverpool a run for their money. The Potters were narrowly beaten in last year’s final and Pulis has a real affinity with the competition.

Unfortunately Liverpool have looked much more clinical in their past couple of home games and Gerrard’s return to the starting XI has really lifted the club. I don’t think it’ll be a high scoring affair, but Liverpool can sign off on a solid week with a victory over Stoke. A home win can be backed at around 1.44 on BETDAQ.BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Liverpool at around 1.44: 7 points
Saturday’s Return: +10.20 points
MARCH RETURN TO DATE: +19.10
