PREVIEW
Liverpool’s miserable season continued when they were dumped out of the League Cup on Wednesday and they have a real battle on their hands today to stop an improving Newcastle from taking all three points from Anfield.
The Reds have won 15 and lost none of the last 17 Premier League games at home against Newcastle, to give hope to favourite backers going in at around 1.59 on BETDAQ, and the only goal Newcastle have scored here their last six league visits was an own goal by Daniel Agger.
However, Liverpool have only won three of their last 14 Premier League matches at Anfield and have lost six of them. The Magpie’s away record is hardly exceptional, having failed to win in five matches, but they have drawn their last three.
The dangerman for Alan Pardew’s men is Luis Suarez. The Uruguay striker been involved in 80% of Liverpool’s Premier League goals this season but he is desperately short of support up front and can’t carry Liverpool all season.
Liverpool have let down their backers at home continuously for the last year and it’s madness to be going in on them at that sort of price. Newcastle’s record here is a turn off but at around 6.4 on BETDAQ they look too big to ignore.
