PREVIEW
Palermo can close the gap on the league leaders to just three points if they get the better of Lecce this evening at the Stadio Renzo Barbera. Devis Mangia’s side have been formidable at home since the start of the season, winning all three of their league games. The manager though will be frustrated they have been unable to replicate their home efforts on their travels, which would have likely seen them top of Serie A.
Even though both games were away at Roma and AC Milan, Palermo have been beaten twice without scoring a goal in their last two outings.
Tonight’s visitors are third from bottom having won only once since August. Lecce will be kicking themselves they were unable to hang onto a three goal lead against Milan last time out as a Kevin Prince Boateng hat-trick inspired an unlikely fight back. Interestingly, Lecce blew a two goal lead on their last visit to Palermo as a red card and a Massimo Maccarone strike did for the visitors that afternoon.
Some good news for Lecce fans is that they have fared slightly better away from home this season, with their only win coming in Bologna a few weeks ago. An away win is currently trading at around 6.6 on the ‘Daq’.
Looking at Palermo’s exemplary form at home it’s hard to go against another win here and that can be backed at around 1.63 on BETDAQ.
