PREVIEW
Inter and Genoa meet in this evening’s Last 16 Coppa Italia clash looking to set up a quarter-final with Napoli. There are only three places between the two clubs, although Inter currently hold an eight point lead over their next opponents.
On Sunday Inter pulled off a somewhat surprising 1-0 win over their bitter rivals AC Milan to close the gap between them to only five points. Inter made a woeful start to the campaign, but have really turned their season around and arrive at the cup game behind six straight victories.
During Inter’s past six Serie A fixtures they have conceded only once and have scored 14 times at the other end.
Much of Genoa’s good work this season has been at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, but it’s not been the same story on their travels. In Genoa’s last six away league fixtures they have been beaten four times and have conceded 14 times in the process. Those Genoa fans making the trip won’t need reminding that the side have shipped eight goals in their past two visits to the San Siro.
Inter Milan have won the past four consecutive games against Genoa and with the run the hosts are on, I cannot see an upset. I’d recommend taking the 1.46 available for a home win on BETDAQ.
