PREVIEW
Lazio have a great chance to get back to winning ways following the 3-2 defeat in Genoa when struggling Cesena visit Stadio Olimpico later. Edoardo Reja will still be fuming that Lazio’s game at Genoa went ahead after it took an age to get there due to the wintery conditions. Not only did Lazio lose, they had Mobido Diakite sent off – who is now unavailable for tonight’s game.
Reja will have been pleased with the efforts of his side after they almost fought back to level 3-3 with ten men. Lazio are hoping to have Hernanes and Marius Stankevicius back in the side after the pair picked up knocks in the Genoa fixture.
Despite the injuries, the Biancocelesti will fancy their chances against Cesena, who are second from bottom. Cesena invested money during the summer, but so far it has not paid off and the side have found it tough all season.
Cesena took the lead in the reverse fixture back in September, but their away form suggests that this could be a long evening. Cavallucci Marini have already been beaten eight times in eleven away games and another defeat looks likely. Lazio beat Milan 2-0 in their last home game, so I’m happy to suggest backing a home win with the -1 Asian handicap at around 2.01 on BETDAQ.
