After a pulsating first leg tie at the Veltins-Arena, Schalke 04 will travel to Northern Spain looking to overhaul a two goal deficit against a flamboyant Athletic Bilbao side. Bilbao are sitting mid-table in La Liga and have saved many special performances for the Europa League. Bilbao have lost only two of their 12 Europa League games this season and are brimming with confidence after three outstanding performances that have caught the eye of many football fans. Marcelo Bielsa’s side, made up of only local Basque players, dismantled Manchester United in the last round and are on track to perform similar heroics against a strong Schalke team. After a 4-2 victory in Germany last week, Bilbao will be looking to sustain their impeccable European home record which contains four wins out of six and not a single defeat.

The San Mames Stadium has been one of the toughest places to get a result for travelling teams in Europe this season and with Schalke only winning two of their previous six European away games a positive result for Bilbao looks highly likely.

However, Huub Stevens’ Schalke side is packed with players, born for the big occasions and none more so than goal machine Raul.  After a goal filled first leg I think punters can expect more of the same and can back over 2.5 goals at around 1.83 on BETDAQ.
