2012 Wimbledon, Grass, Querrey, 6-7 7-6 7-6 6-4
PREVIEW
Sam Querrey pulled off one of the biggest wins of his career yesterday when he beat world number one Novak Djokovic in three absorbing sets in the French capital. Djokovic had pounded through the first set 6-0 and was matched at just 1.01 in-play on BETDAQ to clinch victory.
However, a spectacular meltdown or a brilliant performance from Querrey – depending how you viewed the game – saw the American bounce back to claim a remarkable 0-6 7-6 6-4 victory.
The world number 23 now takes on a rising star of the game in Canada’s Montenegrin-born Milos Raonic, widely regarded as one of the best servers in the game, for a place in the quarter-finals.
Raonic, ranked nine places above today’s rival, came through a tough encounter with Frenchman Jérémy Chardy in three sets in the second-round and is unlikely to find this match much easier. The only time Raonic and Querrey met they served up a high-quality affair that had three tie-breaks.
Another close tie is expected later and backing three sets is advised at around 2.2 on BETDAQ.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back 3 sets in the Total Sets Market at around 2.22 on BETDAQ: 3 points
Wednesday: +4.71 points
OCTOBER RETURN TO DATE: +0.53 points
