PREVIEW
Any Fulham fans that made the trip to Croatia last week will be desperately hoping for an improved performance this evening and they’ll certainly need one in order to get past a tricky RNK Split outfit. The Cottagers were poor in the first leg and have it all to play for at Craven Cottage.
Martin Jol won’t be too concerned though, as his side have been very strong at home so far in the competition. This will already be Fulham’s third home Europa League game and the results have been very strong to date. The Cottagers have scored seven goals without conceding once in matches against NSI Runavik and Crusaders.
There’s some good news on the injury front with Clint Dempsey and Moussa Dembele in the running for selection. However, Jon Arne Riise’s younger brother, Bjorn, is set to be missing for four weeks having picked up an injury after the goalless draw.
Split were back in action at the weekend and were held to a 1-1 draw at home against Slaven. That was the Croatian side’s third consecutive outing without a victory; punters can get around 19.0 for an away win here.
Fulham have been excellent in this year’s competition at Craven Cottage and with home support it’s hard not to see them progressing. I would back the hosts, even at a short price of 1.22 on the ‘Daq’, to win a third on the spin in West London.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Fulham at around 1.22: 7 points
Wednesday’s Return: +10
