Manchester City are so far answering all the questions put to them this season and they are due another test in Italy this evening when they take on Napoli in the Champions League. Roberto Mancini’s side are two points ahead of their Italian opponents, but three points behind league leaders Bayern Munich.
City comfortably dispatched Villarreal in their most recent away European game and with the run they are on, they will expect another three points here. The 3-1 win over Newcastle at the weekend was their 11th in 12 league matches, but they have struggled a little in Europe this season.
Napoli are finding life tough in Serie A this campaign and after ten matches they are ninth in the table. At the weekend they were held to a goalless draw by Lazio, which was their third game on the spin without a victory.
Mario Balotelli opened the scoring on Saturday and he’ll be desperate to get his name on the score sheet when back in his home country. Sergio Aguero also found the back of the net and Napoli will need to keep a close eye on the pair to have any chance of an upset.
City have won nine consecutive games since their defeat in Munich, which includes five wins on their travels. Napoli won’t make it easy for City, but I fancy them get the points they need to stay in contention with Bayern Munich. I’d recommend an away win at around 2.18 on BETDAQ.
