PREVIEW

Leicester City and Nottingham Forest meet for the second time in January this evening for a third round replay after there was nothing to separate the clubs at the first time of asking. The Foxes will have been the happier of the two given they now have home advantage to try and set up a tie with Paulo Di Canio’s Swindon.

The Foxes lost 2-1 at home to Barnsley heading into this game, which was their first defeat at home in six league matches. That defeat means the side are seven points outside the play-off spots, but they are still a long way ahead of Forest.

Forest are third from bottom and are having a difficult season. The visitors have lost four times in six Championship outings and have really struggled at the back. In those six games Forest have conceded an average of two goals per game and that’s nowhere near good enough when the side scored just three times in reply.

The recent head-to-head record is in Forest’s favour, but their run of results coming into the replay suggests the Foxes can win their first game in three against them. Forest have also failed to score in nine of their last ten games, so backing the home win at 1.8 on BETDAQ looks the best option here.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back Leicester City at around 1.8: 6 points

Monday’s Return: +2.76 points
