PREVIEW
Liverpool and Chelsea meet for the second time in three days after the visitors lifted the FA Cup trophy on Saturday. The Reds have endured a tough season to date and find themselves in ninth place coming into this clash – still four points behind their bitter rivals.

Strangely for the Reds it has been their home form that has let them down badly this year. The Kop have witnessed just five home league victories and the side have been beaten in their last two outings at Anfield. Fulham and West Brom are the two most recent clubs to return with three points – both of which were 1-0 defeats.

Kenny Dalglish’s side finished the far stronger of the two at Wembley and he’ll fancy his chances of getting some revenge for the cup loss.

Chelsea look to have given themselves too much to do if they are to finish inside the top four following the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle. Roberto Di Matteo knows that his best chance of being in the Champions League in 2013 is by beating Bayern Munich in a couple of week’s time.

This all means that the visitors will likely freshen things up tonight and once again give some of the fringe players a run-out. Even with the Reds’ struggles on Merseyside, they can get the better of a weakened Chelsea outfit to make Saturday’s cup loss a little easier to deal with.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Liverpool at 2.21: 5 points

Monday’s Return: +3.6 points

MAY RETURN TO DATE: -3.40
