PREVIEW
Thousands of fans will travel down from Yorkshire on Saturday to watch their sides play at Wembley in the League One Play-off Final.
Simon Grayson’s Huddersfield Town side will face up against Danny Wilson’s Sheffield United, who are looking to join their bitter rivals, Sheffield Wednesday, in the Championship.
Huddersfield were flying earlier on in the season under manager Lee Clarke, losing just three times in 54 games. However, after falling out with the board Clarke was replaced by Grayson, who has steadied the ship and guided Huddersfield into their second successive Play-off final. This time they face an in-form Sheffield United outfit, who have been up and around the automatic promotion spots all season, only to narrowly miss out to Sheffield Wednesday.
Danny Wilson’s men have lost just one of their last 14 games compared to Huddersfield who have only won four of their last ten, form that has seen them drop from the automatic promotion spots into the lottery of the Play-offs.
Both teams’ seasons have been dominated by two prolific strikers. Huddersfield’s Jordan Rhodes has scored 40 goals in all competitions this season including one in each leg of Huddersfield’s semi-final victory over MK Dons.
Sheffield United had their own goal machine with Ched Evans scoring 35 goals in all competitions. However, with Evans unavailable for the Play-off final, Huddersfield should just edge what will likely be a tight affair. I would recommend punters back Huddersfield at 2.75 on BETDAQ.
