Manchester City v Ajax
Champions League

HEAD TO HEAD
(Max 10 only)
24 Oct 2012 Champions League, Ajax 3 – 1 Man City
PREVIEW
Manchester City currently lie bottom of Group D with just one point collected from three games and Roberto Mancini has stated that he expects ‘three big performances’ from his side in their remaining group fixtures.
Dutch champions Ajax are third in the group with three points and will have their work cut out to come away from the Etihad with anything despite beating City 3-1 last month in the Netherlands. Ajax’s away form does not make for pleasant reading for their fans, having drawn four and lost one of their last five away games.
However, before their last league game against third placed Vitesse Arnhem, Ajax had scored at least one goal in each of their nine previous games.
While Man City have not yet hit top gear this season, they remain unbeaten in the league following their 0-0 stalemate with West Ham on Saturday. Their home form is equally impressive in European competition, only losing once in 35 games (W25 D9 L1).
With both teams needing the points, tonight’s game looks likely to see the pair go for it and, with a weakened home defence, Ajax should be able to find the net. City were unlucky not to score on the weekend and should make their attacking riches pay.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back both teams to score at around 1.7 on BETDAQ: 4 points
Monday: -4.50 points
NOVEMBER RETURN TO DATE: -10.85 points
