PREVIEW
Wolves face Manchester City twice in seven days and after their emphatic win in the Manchester derby, it’s hardly the side Mick McCarthy would have chosen next. Wolves are in a rut at the moment and have not won in three matches on the bounce.
McCarthy would have been thrilled with the fight back against Swansea at the weekend, but the performance was listless until the final ten minutes. The side are really struggling for confidence and City’s visit hasn’t come at a great time. There will likely be plenty of changes to City’s starting XI, but with the pool of talent that Roberto Mancini has to choose from – they won’t expect an easy ride.
City couldn’t be in better form and their 6-1 result on Sunday will have sent shivers through the Premier League. They have already bagged a staggering 33 league goals and 20 of those have been scored on the road.
Wolves fans can take some heart in that their side beat City 2-1 on their last visit to Molineux, although much has changed since then. The past few weeks have been a struggle for Wolves and they will need their supporters behind them more than ever with the league leaders in town.
Even if Mancini opts to ring the changes, City will still have far too much talent to suffer an upset. Even at 1.49 on BETDAQ, the away win looks the best option here.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Man City at around 1.49: 6 points
Tuesday’s Return: +2.72
