PREVIEW
El Clasico part four kicks off tonight and the first three meetings between these famous clubs this season have been a joy to watch. Barca claimed a huge 3-1 win in the Bernabeu before Christmas, but it’s Jose Mourinho’s side that lead the way with a five point cushion at the top of La Liga.
With plenty of games left in La Liga, this tie looks set to play an important part in the title race giving the winner a psychological edge before the final league game.
Real Madrid have shown their character after losing to Barca at home by winning seven games on the bounce across all competitions. During that run Madrid have scored 24 times and have conceded only seven. Interestingly, Cristiano Ronaldo has not been amongst the goals of late and the Portuguese player has only found the back of the net once in his last four outings. Ronaldo did score the winner in the 2011 cup final between the sides and if both he and Leo Messi score tonight, punters will get all commission back on the match.
Pep Guardiola will be a little concerned with Barca’s form since returning from the Christmas break as they’ve not looked themselves. A draw in the Catalan derby and a late win against ten men Real Betis suggests that Real are in fine shape to take a lead to the Nou Camp for the second leg.
Real Madrid have won 22 of their last 23 matches and my advice is to back them to follow up their Copa Del Rey final win with another here at 2.85 on BETDAQ.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back Real Madrid at around 2.85: 4 points
Tuesday’s Return: +4.80 points
