MATCH POINT: It’s Women’s Semi-Final day at Wimbledon and we have recommended BETDAQ bets in the second match.
It’s Women’s semi-final day on Centre Court and in the first semi-final I’m clearly rooting for Ons Jabeur to progress to the final having recommended her in my three ante-post bets at around 10.5 on Betdaq Betting Exchange.
On paper she should have a relatively easy task against the 103-ranked German Tatjana Maria. The pair have met three times previously with Jabeur holding a 2:1 advantage but they have yet to meet on grass.
There’s no need for me to get involved in this match with the 10.5 voucher tucked away and Jabeur certainly doesn’t appeal as a bet at around 1.15 in the match market.
Of greater interest is the second semi-final.
Elena Rybakina takes on Simona Halep in a match where I could easily see an upset in favour of the seven-year younger Rybakina.
They are next door to each other in the seedings: Rybakina (17) and Halep (16).
Again, the pair are meeting for the first time on grass and whilst the head to head stats favour Halep (2:1), the last time they met it was a close match 7-6 4-6 6-3 and it’s quite possible that Rybakina is progressing at a greater rate at this stage of their careers.
Salep is of course a previous winner here (2019) and is in terrific form not dropping a set yet. Her game has seemingly been revitalised under new coach Patrick Mouratoglou.
It should be close so I am backing 2:1 in sets both ways at around 8.0 (Rybakina to win) and 4.4 (Halep to win).
MATCH POINT RECOMMENDED BETDAQ BETS:
2.5 points win RYBAKINA TO WIN 2:1 (at around 8.0)
2.5 points win HALEP TO WIN 2:1 (at around 4.4)
