PREVIEW
We could conceivably just write one line for this preview with all the information you need – Fulham have never won a Premier League game at Villa Park, taking just four points from 33 available.
Villa have won three of their last four games as they bid to fight off the threat of relegation, and another victory today versus Fulham would put them in a strong position to hold onto their top-flight status.
Fulham have won just three of 16 away matches this term and really struggle for goals if Dimitar Berbatov isn’t firing. Christian Benteke’s goals – he’s hit four in his last four and nine in his last ten – are keeping Villa afloat and he will be the dangerman for the Villans once more.
It’s taken a while but the hosts do seem to have turned it around of late and, with the Cottagers being notoriously bad travellers – not to mention their dreadful record in the West Midlands – Aston Villa have to be the call.
