PREVIEW
Dream Walker, who was also the BETDAQ top market mover of the day, ran a good race in the finale at Sandown last night to take second at 5/1 – beaten just half a length. It was good news for MATCH OF THE DAQ as we had him to beat SECRET ART in the match and that one could only finish sixth. All the jockeys were guilty though of giving winning rider Robbie Fitzpatrick a little bit too much rope. He had poached a big lead three furlongs out and couldn’t be pegged back.
Back to the football and England’s road to Brazil continues with a friendly against Peru at Wembley tonight.
It’s a strange build up to the World Cup for England this year. Normally they have the weight of the nations expectations upon them and are reminded about 1966 at every opportunity. However, the mood seems to be more resigned this time around. Whether that will actually work in England’s favour next next month remains to be seen.
Certainly the BETDAQ outright market doesn’t given them much hope – they can currently be backed at 30.
It would be dangerous to underestimate Peru who have kept clean sheets in six of their last seven friendlies.
However, this is England’s final match on home soil before they travel to Miami for their final two warm-up games against Ecuador and Honduras, and a win should be on the cards.
The teams haven’t met since 1962 – but just like then I expect there to be more goals than the market expects and will try ‘YES’ on BETDAQ’s Both Teams To Score market at around 2.6.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points per bet)
10 points BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE ‘YES’ at around 2.6 on BETDAQ
THURSDAY: +9.00 points
MAY RETURN TO DATE: +215.06 points
