PREVIEW
Everton and Manchester City kick off this weekend’s Premier League action in a lunch-time fixture at Goodison Park. David Moyes’ side owe their supporters a performance after the shocking effort that saw them dumped out of the FA Cup at the hands of Wigan last weekend.

Most expected the Toffees to cruise past Wigan in the FA Cup, but three goals in as many minutes did for them in the cup.

There have been problems on the blue half of Merseyside for a while now and the terrible atmosphere around the ground in that cup defeat to Wigan must be a concern. Marouane Fellaini has been a stand out player for a number of seasons now and it was interesting to see him get abuse from the stands as well.

Manchester City arrive in superb form and they are doing all they can to keep the pressure on Sir Alex Ferguson’s lot. Carlos Tevez helped himself to a hat-trick in their 5-0 win over Barnsley and his input is more than making up for Sergio Aguero’s enforced absence through injury. He also scored in the 1-1 result in the reverse fixture and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see his name on the score sheet here.

Roberto Mancini’s lot have won four on the spin without conceding and have scored 12 times in the process. Without the fans onside, Everton face an uphill task and I’m happy to back Man City at around 2.13 on BETDAQ.
