A profit yesterday thanks to Mistral Wind – who in the end didn’t run that well – but outperformed match rival Hattie Jacques who finished stone last.

It was a last minute decision (this morning) allowing Galileo Rock to take his place in the field. Trainer David Wachman had been concerned about the prospect of testing conditions for his Classic-placed runner but with just under four millimetres of rain at the track overnight, the handler is satisfied with the ground on Town Moor.
That’s good enough for me. I much prefer his proven form over Foundry’s potential. Foundry was a good second to Telescope at York but really is at the deep end for a horse with so little experience.
RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
