A win could see 11th place Espanyol move into the top ten in today’s Primera Liga action but to do that they’ll have to see off champions Barcelona.
They haven’t beaten Barca at home in five games and have lost five of the last seven Catalan derbies, although the points they picked up in that time were two draws at home.
The visitors need just two wins from their final two games to equal the record La Liga points total set by Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid last season (100). And only Bayern Munich with 15 have won more away games than Barcelona’s 13 in Europe’s top five leagues this season. They visit Cornella El-Prat having won eight and lost none of their last ten league games.
Espanyol on the other hand have won none and lost three of their last four and have won none of their last five at home. They might be buoyed, though, to learn that their ground is the only one that Lionel Messi has visited more than once in the league and failed to register a goal at.
Even so, that’s unlikely to stop Barcelona winning and they look a banker at around 1.6 on BETDAQ to see off their neighbours.
