PREVIEW
Tottenham were poor on Thursday night as they had to come back from two goals down against FC Basel in the Europa League. That bad result was compounded by an injury to their star player Gareth Bale and he will definitely miss the visit of Everton to White Hart Lane, in what has the makings of a decent clash.

Everton mugged Tottenham with two late goals in the reverse fixture earlier in the season and head south on the back of three successive wins, the first time they have achieved that feat this term. However, those victories have all been at Goodison Park and they are winless in three on their travels.

Five of the last six Premier League games between the sides have been won by the hosts and with Tottenham’s superior league position – third to Everton’s sixth – it’s not a great surprise to see Spurs heading the market at around 2.31 on BETDAQ, with the visitors around 3.55.

But with Bale definitely out, Jermain Defoe a doubt and Emmanual Adebayor seemingly saving his goals for Europe, Tottenham don’t look particularly dangerous up front and look opposable at that price. Only Norwich and Stoke have drawn more games than the Toffees in the league and, considering David Moyes’ men have won just four games on the road, a draw looks about the right result here.
