PREVIEW
The goals were late coming last night but we got to the magic 4 in the end with Man City which gave us a healthy profit on the day of 18.6 points on BETDAQ’s ANY OTHER SCORE option on the CORRECT SCORE market.
The action heats up tonight in the Championship with the first play off semi-final.
Brighton are only in it thanks to an injury time winner at the weekend which denied Reading a place in the final four. To give you an indication of how dramatic and late fortunes were changed – Reading’s fans were already on the pitch celebrating!
Funny old thing the play offs. The first thing to do is to FORGET regulation form. Derby have played well all season and are favourites to progress – but we don’t see it that way.
We think the team that just misses out on automatic promotion face a huge task mentally against a side, like Brighton, who in effect have been given a free spin of the wheel.
Derby beat Brighton both home and away this season but with home advantage tonight we’re confident they can take a narrow lead out of the match at the Amex Stadium.
If the mental momentum is with Brighton then the form one too might be. Brighton are now unbeaten in their last eight games, winning four whereas Derby have won only three of their last 11 away games.
There’s precious little between all three options on BETDAQ’s match market but we’ll keep it simple with a win on Brighton.
