It’s all double Dutch over in Dublin later when Premier League darts leader Michael van Gerwen bids to extend his lead at the top of the standings with a double-header against Raymond van Barneveld first and then later Adrian Lewis.
The World Championship runner-up is a quality thrower and he moved two points clear in Sheffield last week with victories over Phil Taylor and James Wade – proving he can handle the pressure of two matches in a night.
The youngster will be out to pull further clear when he takes to the oche to take on van Barneveld first ahead of the play-offs next month.
His compatriot van Barneveld is just two points adrift in the table and has only lost two of his ten matches so far. He also boasts a 9-4 head-to-head record over van Gerwen but lost 7-3 earlier in this tournament to Mighty Mike.
