It seems odd making a profit from a horse that could only finish 6th – but that’s exactly what happened yesterday.
We went for Huntsmans Close in preference to Waffle in the 8.00 at Windsor and it was landed – but only just. Huntsmans Close finished sixth with Waffle a length behind in 7th.

It’s a really tricky 6f handicap but of course the match bet reduces the field to just two.
We have a feeling that this one could go to the outsider Injaz. Front running tactics were deployed on him at Southwell last time out and could well be the strategy again today. Ripon is a course that particularly favours front runners
Fantasy Justifier ran well at Chepstow last time, his best effort yet, but that came on ground far more testing than he’ll come up against today.
