Today’s Sony Open action pits Gilles Muller against Lukas Rosol with both men struggling for form. They’ve each lost their last three matches ahead of this first round clash and, if the rankings are to be believed, this should be a tight affair. Rosol is ranked 64th in the world with his rival three places lower.
Rosol is famous for his brilliant win over Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon 2012 as an unknown journeyman. Sadly that wasn’t a springboard to better things and the Czech player is still yet to win an ATP title.
His opponent Muller is another yet to win a tournament, but he has been a consistent player for the decade and on his day is capable of pushing the top players all the way.
