I’ve been in terrible form over the last couple of months and it seems a long time ago since I was celebrating my 12th winning month from the last 15. It’s important though not to lose sight of the big picture.
You always know with MULTIPLES that one bet can make the difference and it can be a long time between drinks. It goes with the territory.
I’m now an odds on chance to turn the month around on the last day. The remaining Chelsea / Everton double is a 1.83 chance on BETDAQ MULTIPLES.
It’s now about options (remember the old days when you let the bet just run !!!)
(1) Let the bet run for a loss of 15 points or a profit of 166.95 points.
(2) Take some insurance out at varying levels by laying Chelsea and Everton on the main exchange which guarantees a return but would reduce any potential winnings.
(3) I did consider placing some additional MULTIPLES on the less likely outcomes eg: DRAW / DRAW.
OR: NONE OF THE ABOVE !!!! I am actually going to be brave (or foolish) and do exactly what I would have done if one of the legs had gone down yesterday and BACK the remaining double for a stake which will not only make it a turnaround month but a profitable one too. For no other reason than I fully expect the remaining two teams to win and don’t want to get off the tightrope just yet.
Of course, if you’ve had the same bet – you must do what’s right for you. For all the mathematics, sanity and probability involved with betting that we try to adhere to most of the time there are occasions to hold firm and let risk run its course – it’s a bet after all. It’s one of THOSE days for me.
Just think of it as Deal Or No Deal. For me, at the moment it’s “Thank you Mr Banker, but NO DEAL”.
