2-15 This is the second Old Firm clash of the season as Celtic thrashed Rangers 5-1 in the league already, and are now four points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand. Rangers will be hoping to have more joy in this semi-final League Cup clash but its hard to see how they turn things around in such a short space of time from the 5-1 league defeat.
Celtic are obviously the superior side and the question from a betting point of view might be how many can Celtic score? They’re currently priced at 1.8 -0.5/1 on the Asian handicap but we feel that at 1.62 in the match odds market, that is certainly big enough to back here and judging on the evidence of their recent clash in the league, that seems like a massive price.
You have to go back to 2012 for the last time Rangers beat Celtic, and obviously they went through a lot during that time and didn’t play for a while too but that was at Ibrox Stadium while this clash is obviously at Hampden Park. An early Celtic goal might open the floodgates if Rangers aren’t careful and it could be worth checking the Any Other Away Win (Celtic to score 4 or more and win) in the correct score market closer to kick off to see is there any value available.
