PREMIER LEAGUE MONDAY: We preview Monday’s Premier League game between CHELSEA v WEST HAM with a recommended BETDAQ bet and extended match stats.
CHELSEA V WEST HAM
8pm After losing a lot of ground in the Premier League recently, Chelsea now have a chance to go into third place with a win over West Ham tonight. We have seen slip ups from Spurs, Manchester United and Arsenal and the race for a Top Four finish is wide open. If indeed Chelsea are to finish in the Top Four, they really have to be winning games like this one and they are looking to put in three wins in a row here since losing 2-0 to Everton.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Chelsea 1.32, West Ham 11.5 and the draw is 6.2. West Ham have been having a pretty decent season as they sit in 11th position after all the results at the weekend – they have been really up and down recently though. They have lost 2-0 to Everton and Cardiff recently, and while they conceded three goals against Huddersfield in between those games; they did score four! They have been a tough team to call at time this season and while the market has Chelsea heavy odds on favourites – West Ham won’t be a push over.
Manchester City were only able to put one goal past the Hammers recently when they had home advantage and while Chelsea will more than likely get the job done tonight – it’s hard to see them running away with the game. Any Other Home Win (Chelsea to score four or more and win) looks very short at 4.4 in the Correct Score market, but we like West Ham on the handicap here. They’re currently 2.12 +1.5 goals and that looks good value – they have been scoring plenty of goals this season and while Chelsea haven’t looked very confident. They only beat Cardiff by one goal, lost to Everton and drew 1-1 with Wolves here within their last five games. West Ham have been good enough this season to keep this London Derby close.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
West Ham +1.5 goals to beat Chelsea at 2.12.
