PREMIER LEAGUE MONDAY: We preview Monday’s Premier League game between MAN U v ARSENAL with a recommended BETDAQ bet and extended stats.
MANCHESTER UNITED V ARSENAL
8pm What an absolute cracker for Monday Night Football this week! Manchester United and Arsenal may not be the title decider these days, but it’s become a massive fixture for different reason. Both have been very poor in recent years, and they are now battling for a Top Four finish rather than the title. We have seen calls for both managers to go already this season, perhaps a sign of how fickle fans have become these days, however whoever loses this game will be under immense pressure.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Manchester United 2.54, Arsenal 3.0 and the draw is 3.6. United have a good recent record against Arsenal as they unbeaten in their last 12 meetings. They have won eight of those games too – however Mourinho always had a good record against Wenger and realistically Arsenal have nothing to fear from his United side.
United struggled to create chances against during the week in the League Cup against Rochdale and failed to find the net last weekend against West Ham. It’s well documented Arsenal face their own struggles but we feel that they are playing better football than United at the moment. Looking at the sides coming into this clash; it looks perfectly set up for an Arsenal win.
Arsenal may be conceding goals but they have been scoring plenty. They’re entertaining and although unreliable at the back and especially away from home; they can keep this United side at bay for most of the game. It’s hard not to see goals in this one, however we feel Arsenal can easily outscore this United side. United just don’t create enough chances and Arsenal look massive at 3.0. It’s tempting to lay United; but Arsenal can win this.
