8pm We have Monday Night Football to enjoy tonight as Watford travel to take on Spurs. After getting knocked out of the FA Cup last weekend against Manchester United; Spurs season is as good as over. They still have work to do in the Premier League though as they sit in fourth position with Chelsea chasing them – they should hang on and secure a Champions League spot though.
Spurs are the shortest price of any team in the Premier League this weekend, with the match odds at the time of writing; Tottenham 1.18, Watford 21.0 and the draw is 9.2. After a questionable start to life in Wembley, Spurs have settled in well and their ‘home’ form as been impressive.
It’s hard to see anything but a comfortable Spurs victory here when you look at Watford’s away record coming into this game. They’ve lost nine of their last ten away games, and they have failed to score in eight of those games. Coming to a side like Spurs with away form like that – you can’t help but look at the handicap markets.
Spurs are currently trading 1.75 -2 goals in the Asian Handicap market – stakes void if Spurs win by exactly two goals – and that looks great value. They have been scoring goals for fun this season and with Watford struggling badly away from home, they can cover the handicap easily here.
