8pm Not the most glamorous of ties for Monday Night Football this week but Watford will see this as a fantastic opportunity to notch up another win after beating West Ham 4-2 and then United 3-1. Not many would have seen that type of goal scoring coming from Watford after their first few games of the season, and at around 2.66 they look a shade of value to beat this Burnley side who have been struggling in the opening weeks.
Aside from their shock win against Liverpool, where they had the lowest record possession of any winning team in the Premier League for nearly ten years, they have been poor at the back and it’s hard to see them winning here should Watford continue their brilliant recent form.
This will of course be the first meeting between the sides in the Premier League, and if you like head-to-head stats – five of the last six league meetings have ended with a draw, and Burnley are unbeaten in their last eight at home to Watford. We feel at the odds though it’s hard to get away from Watford at 2.66 given the way the teams have been playing recently. The draw-no-bet price of Watford at 1.86 might appeal to those less brave.
