MONDAY PREMIER LEAGUE: We look ahead to WEST BROM v BURNLEY on Monday with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
West Brom v Burnley
8pm Not the most glamorous of ties for Monday Night Football but there is still money to be made in the markets! Both these sides went into the International break off the back of a win with West Brom beating Leicester 2-1 and Burnley beating Crystal Palace 3-2. You’d have to say though that Burnley were in the marginally better form leading into those fixtures as West Brom were without a win their five games prior.
This is a tough game to call as both sides don’t have strong records this season, West Brom have a poor record at home thus far this season, and were also poor at home last season too. They’ve picked up just one win at home this season while if you go back to last season, they’ve won just seven from the last 24. Not the kind of stats you’d like to see if you’re backing a 1.95 shot which is what West Brom currently are.
The problem here is, Burnley have only one point from their away games thus far this season, so they can hardly be called reliable. However, they have had some tough away fixtures – they’ve been to Chelsea, United, Leicester and Southampton – which you could arguably say they aren’t expected to pick up many points against those sides anyway, so judging them on their away record may be harsh. Given the fact that West Brom have such a poor record at home and seem very short at 1.95, we’re happy to take a chance on laying them in the hope that Burnley get a chance to improve their away form against easier competition.
