PREMIER LEAGUE: We preview Saturday’s Premier League action which kicks off at 12.30pm with FULHAM v WATFORD – all with recommended BETDAQ bets.
FULHAM V WATFORD
12.30pm We kick off another Premier League weekend with Fulham hosting Watford. Unfortunately for Watford their 100% record came to an end last weekend after losing 2-1 to Man United. They performed very well though and bossed the game for large parts of it; on balance you could argue that they deserved a draw and they have impressed thus far this season. Fulham have found their feet in the Premier League now after collecting points against Burnley and Brighton; although they lost to Man City last weekend but we won’t read much into that one. We feel that Fulham are simply too short here though at 2.48 – Watford have been very solid this season and we expect a closer game than odds of 2.48 on Fulham suggest – they look a great value lay.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Fulham at 2.48.

BURNLEY V BOURNEMOUTH
3pm Burnley’s poor start to the season continued last weekend as they lost 1-0 to Wolves. They now sit rock bottom of the Premier League table and will be hoping for a home win here to push them up the table a little bit if results went their way. They played in the Europa League qualifiers at the start of the season and perhaps that has taken their focus off the Premier League but they need to start picking up points quickly now – it’s always super competitive at the bottom of the table! Bournemouth will have something to say about Burnley putting some life into their season here; they have started the season strongly and currently sit in fifth position with ten points. They are playing solid football and until we see more from Burnley we’re happy to bet against the home side here – Bournemouth look too big at 2.64.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Bournemouth to beat Burnley at 2.64.

CRYSTAL PALACE V NEWCASTLE
3pm Newcastle are another side who have started the season poorly; however unlike Burnley they have had to face some tough fixtures. They’ve already played Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Spurs – ironically losing 2-1 in every game! You could argue that they have done well to “only” lose to those sides by one goal given the gulf in class – however a start like this sets the confidence back in the squad and now they need to start winning. Palace have had an up and down start to the season and don’t look too reliable in terms of how they will play. This is a risky bet however we’re happy to lay Palace at 2.22 – that price just looks too short in what should be a close game and Newcastle will appreciate the drop in class of opposition.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Crystal Palace at 2.22.

CARDIFF V MANCHESTER CITY
3pm Manchester City suffered a huge shock in the Champions League on Wednesday night when losing 2-1 against Lyon. That was totally unexpected; especially as they started the game at 1.19 on BETDAQ! They are actually the exact same price to win against Cardiff in this fixture, except they are now away from home. You’d have to think twice about lumping on at these odds; however more times than not the big clubs bounce back quickly and everyone is expecting that here. Based on what we’ve seen from Cardiff; City should have no trouble winning this fixture however we feel that Cardiff can keep the score respectable. They are 1.75 +2.5 goals and that looks good value with home advantage.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Cardiff +2.5 goals to beat Manchester City at 1.75.

LEICESTER V HUDDERSFIELD
3pm Huddersfield sit in the bottom three coming into this game and it’s hard to see that changing here. Leicester seem to have their number, winning eight of the last nine league games between the sides and the home side look good value here at 1.66. Leicester have won their last seven home games against Huddersfield and the away side are in poor form again at the start of the season. They ended last season very poorly, and now they have only won once in their last 15 Premier League games. We expect an easy home win here and Leicester look massive at 1.66.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Leicester to beat Huddersfield at 1.66.

LIVERPOOL V SOUTHAMPTON
3pm Southampton will see a few familiar faces in this fixture; however they will be wearing a different jersey! Anfield will be buzzing after a late goal gave them a 3-2 won over PSG midweek in the Champions League – the perfect start to their campaign. It might be interesting to see what sort of side Klopp names here given the European commitments now; however Liverpool should still get the job done here even with resting a few of their star players. They have been very impressive this season and Southampton have yet to impress us after really struggling last season. We feel Liverpool will cover the handicap here and they’re 2.0 -2 goals on the Asian Handicap which looks great value (Stakes void if Liverpool win by exactly two goals).
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Liverpool -2 goals Asian Handicap to beat Southampton at 2.0.

MANCHESTER UNITED V WOLVERHAMPTON
3pm On the face of things United look absolutely huge here at 1.6; however perhaps it is a sign of the times. United just don’t look very confident at the moment, although they did win easily away from home in the Champions League on Wednesday night. It’s certainly a surprise to see United as big as 1.6 against a club who only came up from the Championship this season. Wolves had a good summer in the transfer window and they have settled into Premier League life pretty easily too. We can’t resist the 1.6 on United here though – they may have lost a few home games recently however their long-term record is superb and 1.6 looks too big.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Manchester United to beat Wolverhampton at 1.6.

BRIGHTON V TOTTENHAM
5.30pm Spurs travel to Brighton on Saturday evening off the back of three straight losses. They looked to have things under control midweek in the Champions League only for two late Inter Milan goals, while they were outclassed against Liverpool and shocked against Watford. They have an excellent record against Brighton – the last time Brighton managed to beat them was in 1983! However Brighton are very solid at home – they’ve lost just once in their last nine Premier League games here. After having to travel midweek in the Champions League with a very tough game and coming in with two Premier League losses – we feel it’s worth laying Spurs here at 1.8 given Brighton’s solid home form.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Tottenham at 1.8.
