SATURDAY PREMIER LEAGUE: It’s back – and back in style with Man U taking on Arsenal in the lunchtime TV game from Old Trafford at 12.30pm. We preview all of Saturday’s Premier League games with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

Manchester United v Arsenal

12.30pm What a way to come back to Premier League football after the International break as arch enemies Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger clash in their 14th competitive game. There shouldn’t be much between the sides and its no surprises to see odds of United 2.64, Arsenal 3.0 and the draw 3.4 on BETDAQ as we type. One wonders how Mourinho will set up, he is usually defensive in big games but he can’t really set up to defend for 90 minutes at home. He does have a good record against Wenger though as he’s yet to suffer defeat in those 14 clashes and Arsenal also have a poor record against United – they’ve lost six of their last seven trips to Old Trafford in the Premier League.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see this game start slowly after the International break however we expect United’s good record over Arsenal to continue. Although with United suffering a few injuries, we are happy to back them draw-no-bet at 1.88 rather than to win outright.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Manchester United to beat Arsenal Draw-No-Bet at 1.88.

Crystal Palace v Manchester City

3pm Crystal Palace have now lost their last four league games after defeat to Burnley before the International break and they won’t look forward to hosting Manchester City here. However, City suffered a poor run themselves before the International break, and Pep Guardiola had his longest spell as a manger without a win. The draw to Middlesbrough at home was particularly disappointing but with the goals Palace have been conceding lately and City’s firepower up front its hard to see anything but a comfortable City win here. Palace have now conceded ten goals in their last three games and with City trading 1.58 to win in 90 minutes, that is big enough for us to back. It’s also worth considering City on the handicap too, they are currently trading 1.9 -1 goal on the Asian Handicap.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Manchester City to beat Crystal Palace at 1.58.

Everton v Swansea

3pm A lot of Everton fans were getting excited after their good start to the season where they won four of their first five but since then they have just one win in six and went to the International break after getting tonked 5-0 against Chelsea. This is a tricky market because while you’d like to take Everton on given their current run, they face Swansea who currently sit in 19th place in the league. Few teams have given United such space as they did in their 3-1 defeat last time out and you’d have to think if they give Everton similar space to play here, with home advantage, they should take care of them. At 1.61, it is just about worth the risk for us to back Everton.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Everton to beat Swansea at 1.61.

Southampton v Liverpool

3pm It’s a shame this game isn’t on in a big TV slot over the weekend, because it should be highly entertaining. Although Jurgen Klopp has been moaning enough about the TV schedule over Christmas! Southampton suffered a surprise defeat to Hull before the International break and with Hull sitting in the bottom three, not many would have been that coming. Liverpool on the other hand have been playing some superb football thus far this season and at 2.32 they look value to win here. They’ve scored 14 goals in their last four, with ten coming in their last two – Southampton is usually a tough place to go and get a win but given Liverpool are as big as 2.32, we feel they are worth a bet with their goal scoring power.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Liverpool to beat Southampton at 2.32.

Stoke v Bournemouth

3pm Stoke haven’t looked back since they beat Sunderland in the clash of the bottom of the table and now are six games unbeaten, winning three of their last four. Meanwhile Bournemouth suffered two poor defeats to struggling sides before the International break, they lost 2-0 away to Middlesbrough and then 2-1 at home to Sunderland. Before those games, Middlesbrough had record just one win and Sunderland had yet to win a game all season. With home advantage here Stoke look massive at 2.32 and we are happy to back them to continue their good run.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Stoke to beat Bournemouth at 2.32.

Sunderland v Hull

3pm This is a huge game for both sides as they currently sit in 18th and 20th at the bottom of the table. Both recorded surprise wins before the International break too, with Hull shocking Southampton and Sunderland winning away to Bournemouth. A win for either side here would be massive to their chances of survival – particularly Hull who could jump quite a few spots up the table if results go their way, while a win for Sunderland would drag them closer to other sides and give them a chance of getting out of the bottom three with a few more good results. With everything in mind, its likely to be a cagey start here, and while both sides haven’t been great at the back, we feel that this will be a low scorer. Under 2.5 goals is currently 1.78 and that looks to be a shade of value.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.78.

Watford v Leicester

3pm If someone told you that the Premier League Champions were 2.78 away to Watford, would you believe them? Obviously we have a unique situation this season! Its hard to argue with the odds too, Watford have been impressive this season although they did get thumped 6-1 by Liverpool before the International break. You have to look at Leicester’s record before backing them though, they have earned just one point away from home in the league thus far, and while they’ve been to the likes of United and Chelsea, they were hammered by them. Losing 2-1 at home to West Brom last time out was bitterly disappointing too and if Watford can bounce back to their form before the Liverpool game, they can get something here. We’re happy to lay the Champions at 2.78.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Leicester at 2.78.

Tottenham v West Ham

5.30pm We’re now 11 games into the campaign and Spurs still remain unbeaten. You’d think they would be competing for top spot after saying that however their draws against sides you’d have expected them to beat have really let them down. West Ham seem to have solved their defensive errors lately, they had been conceding nearly three goals a game beforehand! However they still don’t look to be the same side that seen them have a superb run last season. We feel Spurs will win here but at around 1.53, that does look to be a shade short for backing. Spurs haven’t been banging in the goals lately and with under 2.5 goals trading 2.26 that looks too big to ignore. Both sides have seen under 2.5 goals in five of their last six games in all competitions.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 2.26.
