PREMIER LEAGUE SATURDAY: We preview Saturday’s Premier League games including leaders Chelsea v Swansea and the televised late kick off between Watford v West Ham. We have a recommended BETDAQ bet for each match.
CHELSEA V SWANSEA
3pm We kick off this weekend’s Premier League action with Swansea visiting league leaders Chelsea. Chelsea will be hoping to get back to winning ways after being held to a 1-1 draw away to Burnley and the market believes they will do so easily as they are currently trading 1.26. Swansea are in good form though, and have won three of their last four and they nearly got a draw against Manchester City on that run too. So we feel it won’t be easy for Chelsea here, however it is hard to see them not winning – especially considering Swansea’s away form this season. They have lost eight of their 12 away games, granted that form has improved recently, with the win against Liverpool being an example. Swansea have been scoring lately too, netting in all of their last four – so we feel the best play here is over 2.5 goals at 1.66, Chelsea should be able to put two or three past Swansea while Swansea can score themselves.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals at 1.66.

CRYSTAL PALACE V MIDDLESBROUGH
3pm There’s no doubt that Big Sam would have welcomed the FA Cup break last weekend, and he’ll be hoping that it broke the bad momentum that his side had. They suffered a very embarrassing 4-0 loss at home to Sunderland, and followed that with a 1-0 loss to Stoke – they just haven’t been scoring goals lately as well as defending poorly. We know what to expect from Middlesbrough at this stage, they are well set up at the back and are pretty solid, they struggle going forward at times but it’s hard to break them down, and Crystal Palace could certainly struggle here. They look pretty short at 2.14 for a team out of form against a solid defensive unit. We’re happy to lay Palace at 2.14, and it could be worth checking the price of 0-0 in the correct score market closer to kick off.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Crystal Palace at 2.14.

EVERTON V SUNDERLAND
3pm Just when you thought Sunderland were on the right track, they go and lose 4-0 at home to Southampton. It’s basically the story of their season, cant put a few solid games together – you might have thought after the 0-0 draw with Spurs and 4-0 win over Palace things were looking good. However, its hard to see them getting a result here against a very solid Everton side, and we expect a relatively straight forward home win. With Everton trading 1.42 in the match odds market though, we prefer the handicap price of -1.5 goals at around the 2.2 mark.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Everton -1.5 goals to beat Sunderland at 2.2.

HULL V BURNLEY
3pm Burnley were shocked in the FA Cup last weekend by the mighty Lincoln, which was very surprising given Burnley’s superb record at home this season. They have been pretty poor away from home, however Hull look short in the match odds market at 2.22 – so its hard to know how to play this one! One reason Hull are so short is obviously the change in manager, they’ve managed to get seven points from five games under Silva and they’ve also played Chelsea, United, Liverpool and Arsenal in their last four. We feel that this one will be close, definitely closer than the odds of 2.22 on Hull suggest, however we have to take a chance on Burnley improving their record away from home. The draw might be the call with this one but we prefer to lay Hull at 2.22.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Hull at 2.22.

WEST BROM V BOURNEMOUTH
3pm We see this one being one of the most straight forward games of the weekend, certainly on form anyway. Bournemouth are in woeful form, and will be hoping the FA Cup break last weekend can given them the time needed to sort out their defense. They’ve conceded 18 goals in their last six games in all competitions – and needless to say they haven’t won any, only drawing 2-2 with Watford. West Brom are having a great season, just coming up short against the top sides. However, they have dealt with the lesser teams quite easily this season and we expect that to continue here. A home win looks massive at 2.12 given Bournemouth’s form.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
West Brom to beat Bournemouth at 2.12.

WATFORD V WEST HAM
5.30pm This should be a good game, with both sides in good form. Watford had put together a decent four game run prior to losing to United at Old Trafford last time out, that run included beating Arsenal too. They have been fairly consistent at home this season, only losing four games from 12, and it will be a tough ask for West Ham to get the win here. However, apart from getting beaten by Manchester City twice lately, West Ham have been putting in some solid performances and have scored 11 goals in their last four games not including Manchester City. With a fairly open match odds market, we’re happy to stick to the goals market for this one – over 2.5 goals is trading 2.04 which looks quite big considering how many goals West Ham have been scoring, add that to the fact that Watford have conceded in all of their last five in all competitions and we could see a very open game here.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals at 2.04.
