PREMIER LEAGUE SUNDAY: We look ahead to Sunday’s Premier League games with extended stats and recommended BETDAQ bets.
EVERTON V BOURNEMOUTH
2:15pm Everton supporters were delighted with the early stages of the 2018/19 Premier League campaign. Marco Silva’s new attacking style and fresh signings had five wins from seven games ahead of December. However, more recently Everton have experienced a dip in performance and one win in eight has halted the optimism. Their opponents, Bournemouth, are tied with them in the league, and a win for either side would put some distance between the two. Bournemouth certainly have problems of their own, losing their last five away games. Everton have the home advantage, but is it enough to best Bournemouth? Judging from the stats provided by Opta below, we think so, which is why our recommended bet is to back Everton at 1.82 on BETDAQ.
MATCH STATS
- Everton have won all three of their home Premier League matches against Bournemouth,
scoring 10 goals. - Bournemouth have lost all five of their away matches against Everton in all competitions.
- Everton have won just two of their last 19 Premier League games played on Sunday (D3
L14), losing five of their seven this season (W1 D1). - Since joining the Premier League in 2015-16, Bournemouth have lost 14 of their 19 league
matches on Sunday (W3 D2), losing both this season. - Everton have lost four of their last five Premier League games (W1), as many as they had
in their first 16 in 2018-19 (W6 D6 L4). - Against the six ever-present Premier League sides, Bournemouth have won just two of
their 21 away games (W2 D2 L17), with both victories coming at Chelsea. - Everton are looking to avoid losing three consecutive Premier League home games for the
first time since March 2016. - Everton’s Gylfi Sigurdsson has been on the losing side in 14 of the Premier League games
in which he’s scored since his debut in January 2012, including three this term. Only
Romelu Lukaku (15) has scored in a higher number of defeats in that time. - Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser has provided nine Premier League assists this season – no
player has more in 2018-19. He could become the first Scottish player to reach double
figures for assists in a single Premier League campaign (currently level with Gary
McAllister in 1996-97). - Callum Wilson has scored 48 league goals for Bournemouth, with 2018-19 currently his
best scoring season in the Premier League (9 goals).

TOTTENHAM V MANCHESTER UNITED
16.30pm Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping to continue his win streak as Man United manager in Sunday’s big game at Spurs. The Red Devils’ have won all five of their fixtures since Solskjaer’s arrival, but the trip to Wembley is considered to be his first “proper test”. Paul Pogba makes his return after missing United’s FA Cup victory against Reading last weekend, but Solskjaer does face a shortage of defenders, with Marcos Rojo, Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling all unavailable. A weak defensive set-up would suit the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane. For this reason, backing Both Teams To Score at 1.51 is our recommended bet.
MATCH STATS
- Spurs are looking to win three consecutive top-flight meetings with Manchester United for
the first time since September 1960. - Manchester United have lost their last three away Premier League matches against Spurs
– they had lost just three of their first 23 against them in the competition between 1992 and
2014 (W12 D8). - Spurs could become the first team since Everton in 1987 to win four consecutive home
top-flight matches against Manchester United. - Manchester United have lost two of their last three matches at Wembley in all competitions
(including this exact fixture last season), as many as they had in their last 15 at the ground
(W8 D5 L2). - Manchester United have won just four of their last 17 away Premier League matches in
London (D4 L9). - Tottenham haven’t lost consecutive home league games since May 2015, when they lost
against Aston Villa and Man City. - After winning their last four league games against fellow ‘big six’ opposition last season,
Manchester United are winless in their five such matches this term (D2 L3). - Victory here would see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer equal Matt Busby’s record of a Manchester
United manager winning their first five league games in charge of the club. - Harry Kane and Lucas Moura (2) were on the scoresheet in Tottenham’s 3-0 win in the
reverse fixture – only Clint Dempsey in 2012-13 and Jermaine Jenas in 2005-06 have
scored home and away against Man Utd for Spurs in the same Premier League campaign. - For club and country in all competitions, Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez has been
directly involved in nine goals in his nine appearances at Wembley Stadium, scoring eight
and assisting one. - Marcus Rashford has been directly involved in nine goals in his last eight Premier League
games for Manchester United (4 goals, 5 assists), and is looking to score in three
consecutive top-flight games for the first time in his career. - Tottenham’s Harry Kane has scored eight goals in his last eight Premier League starts.
