SUNDAY PREMIER LEAGUE: A quartet of matches on Sunday: Watford v Stoke, Arsenal v Bournemouth, Man U v West Ham and Southampton v Everton. We preview each match with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
Watford v Stoke
12pm Stoke’s six game unbeaten run came to end and last week when Bournemouth beat them 1-0, while Watford beat Leicester 2-1 at home. This is a tough game to call in terms of the match odds market with the prices currently Watford 2.44, Stoke 3.35 and the draw 3.4. If you take out the thrashing Liverpool gave Watford, both teams have been in solid enough form too so maybe the answer when looking for value here is to look to the goals market. Stoke have had under 2.5 goals in five of their last six, with the one exception when they beat Swansea 3-1, other than that they have been solid at the back, and there’s no reason to think why they wouldn’t approach this game any different. Watford have been solid too, and with under 2.5 goals trading as big as 1.9, that will be our best bet here.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 1.9.

Arsenal v Bournemouth
2.15pm Arsenal were almost played off the park midweek by PSG in the Champions League, and you have to say they were woeful before that in the league against United. However, both times they came away with a draw, and maybe they have found a way to grind out results when not performing. That’s not something you could have said about them in recent years and now they have just one defeat in 22 games, that coming on the opening day of the season against Liverpool. Bournemouth have surprised on occasion thus far this season, but Arsenal with home advantage should be able to take care of them and it will be important for them to put on an impressive display given their last two games. The drop in class of opposition should help and we feel that the 1.44 is just about big enough to back Arsenal.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Arsenal to beat Bournemouth at 1.44.

Manchester United v West Ham
4.30pm Manchester United haven’t quite lived up the hype yet this season, but with a 3-1 win over Swansea, an excellent performance with a result against Arsenal and a 4-0 thrashing of Feyenoord midweek, the signs are that they could be coming into form just in time for the important Christmas period. If they are to keep ticking along nicely, a win here is a must. You could call West Ham anything but disappointing thus far this season, from their high of last season – they have looked a completely different team this year and now sit down in 17th. With United trading around 1.5, and West Ham looking out of form – the 1.5 looks big. Not many teams who sit 17th come to Old Trafford with United trading as big as 1.5.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Manchester United to beat West Ham at 1.5.

Southampton v Everton
4.30pm As we noted above with West Ham, Everton are another side who have been disappointing thus far this season. They now have just one win in their last seven, and couldn’t manage to beat Swansea at home last weekend, who sit bottom of the table. Southampton lost midweek in the Europa League but they have been in reasonable form this season and with the way Everton have been playing – they aren’t offering any reason that would make you want to back them. With that in mind, and Southampton trading as big as 2.2 at home, were happy to back Southampton.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Southampton to beat Everton at 2.2.
