4pm How do you describe Liverpool at the moment? Against the top sides, they have been excellent. Against sides they should beat, they have been all over the place! Since beating Manchester City on New Years Eve, they’ve lost to Southampton twice, Swansea, Wolves, Hull and Leicester – while also beating Arsenal, Spurs and drawing with United and Chelsea – work that out! Can they change their tactics when the smaller sides just pack the middle of the pitch?
Burnley have been pretty poor away from home this season, but the tactics here should be obvious – defend and counter well. However, they are without a win in their last five, and have lost to sides like Swansea, Lincoln and Watford, while they also drew with Hull. So the Liverpool lay might appeal at 1.26 just based on what they have done in 2017 – but Burnley don’t seem to be in good enough form to stop Liverpool at the moment. And they are very poor away from home too.
There’s no doubt Liverpool have struggled at times – but an early goal in this one could see the floodgates open with Burnley in poor form. They conceded three to Swansea in their last away game, and this might finally be the home game where Liverpool click. Any Other Home Win (Liverpool to score 4 or more and win) is trading 3.8 and we feel this is definitely worth taking a chance on.
