PREMIER LEAGUE WEDNESDAY: We preview Wednesday’s Premier League games with recommended BETDAQ bets including the televised game between Spurs v Man U.

CHELSEA V BOURNEMOUTH

7.45pm We have a busy night ahead with seven Premier League fixtures and we start with Chelsea hosting Bournemouth! Chelsea breezed past Newcastle in the FA Cup here at the weekend, while Bournemouth had a rest after going out in the previous round. They should be well organized with the manager having a full week to prepare for this fixture – however they have played far too openly away and at home to the top teams this season, and paid the price. If they set up and play an open game here, Chelsea are going to cover the handicap – they’re currently trading 1.92 -1.5 goals which looks good value and will be our best bet to start the evening.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Chelsea -1.5 goals to beat Bournemouth at 1.92.

EVERTON V LEICESTER

7.45pm A really interesting game here, with the most open market of the night. At the time of writing, Everton are 3.1, Leicester 2.68 and the draw is 3.2. Everton are going through a rough patch at the moment after turning their form around after Big Sam came in. In their last six games in all competition, they’ve lost four and drew with West Brom twice – they had to come from behind to get a draw recently at home too. However, they do look good value at 3.1 here. Leicester feel very short at 2.68, especially as they have been way better at home lately compared to away. They’ve only scored twice in their last three away games, and at 2.68 we’re very happy to lay them at those odds. This should be a tight affair.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Leicester at 2.68.

NEWCASTLE V BURNLEY

7.45pm After a couple of weeks, Burnley have finally slipped out of seventh position in the Premier League table. They’ve gone eight games without a win now, although they did have to play teams like United, Spurs, Liverpool and City in that run. Many punters will look at eight games without a win and steam into Newcastle, however the home side looks very short here at 2.22 – they haven’t exactly been playing well themselves, and Burnley are a tough side to beat. Newcastle couldn’t beat Swansea in their last home game here and they started around 1.9 to do so – here at around 2.22 against a much stronger side, we’re very happy to lay them at those prices.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Newcastle at 2.22.

SOUTHAMPTON V BRIGHTON

7.45pm Both these sides got the job done when winning 1-0 in their FA Cup games at the weekend, and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top here. Southampton sat in the relegation zone heading into last weekend and they probably would have been happy to swap their FA Cup win over Watford for three points in the Premier League! They managed to pick up a point at home to Spurs in their last league game, however their position in the table shows how poor they have been this season, and how much they have struggled to score goals. It’s very hard to back a side at 1.79 in their position, and despite a good win at the weekend in the cup, Watford have been poor lately and at the odds – we’re happy to lay Southampton from a value point of view. We feel this one will be closer than odds of 1.79 suggest.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Southampton at 1.79.

MANCHESTER CITY V WEST BROM

8pm You could be forgiven for thinking West Brom are lambs to the slaughter here. They did however managed to get the better of Liverpool in the FA Cup at the weekend! However, the markets only see one way traffic here, with Manchester City trading as short at 1.16 to collect all three points. We don’t expect West Brom to get a result here, however they have played OK in recent games so we don’t expect them to get battered here. They can keep things tight for most of the game, and with Any Other Home Win (City to score four or more and win) trading as low as 2.98, we’re happy to lay those odds. City haven’t scored four or more in their last five games, and while they may win easily, West Brom can keep the score down.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Any Other Home Win at 2.98.

STOKE V WATFORD

8pm An interesting game, and one in which Stoke will feel they have a huge chance in. Watford have been woeful lately, even losing 2-1 at home to Swansea not long ago. With their position in the table, it’s getting close to that time of year where players are already on the beach for their summer holidays – however things are tight in the league this year, and 10th was only three points away from 17th before everyone kicks off during the week! Stoke would dearly love three points here to jump up the table and we feel that they can do it. The way Watford are playing at the moment, they could be in trouble – this game will be highly interesting, but for us the value is with Stoke at 2.28.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Stoke to beat Watford at 2.28.

TOTTENHAM V MANCHESTER UNITED

8pm The highlight of the week! This is going to be a brilliant night under the lights at Wembley – or is it? We all know how Jose Mourinho likes to set up his side in big away games, and he could easily park the bus tonight. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Tottenham 2.34, Manchester United 3.45 and the draw is 3.45 too.

Both sides have been impressive this season, however it is United that have been more consistent. Spurs come into this game off the back of two disappointing 1-1 draws away from home, however in their last two home games they have scored seven goals without conceding. United haven’t conceded a goal in their last six games in all competitions, and with Mourinho’s usual way – it’s fair to say that he’ll set his team up to stop Spurs here and we could have a boring affair. It’s tempting to lay Spurs at 2.34, however under 2.5 goals is trading 2.0 and that looks massive given the way Mourinho plays away from home!

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Under 2.5 goals at 2.0.
