PREMIER LEAGUE WEDNESDAY: We preview Wednesday’s Premier League game between WEST HAM v LIVERPOOL with a recommended BETDAQ bet and extended match stats.
WEST HAM V LIVERPOOL
7.45pm Liverpool were stopped in their tracks by Shrewsbury in the FA Cup at the weekend, but they show no signs of any weakness in the Premier League. Klopp has elected to play reserve sides in Cup football this season, and while many football fans will say it doesn’t respect the FA Cup; most Liverpool fans won’t care – they just want to win the Premier League. West Ham will be hoping to stop their winning league run tonight, but Liverpool look unstoppable this season.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; West Ham 9.8, Liverpool 1.37 and the draw is 5.8. This fixture had to be changed because of Liverpool’s involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup – and so West Ham remain the only side in the Premier League yet to be beaten this season by Liverpool! All other 18 have, and surely Liverpool will go on to break records this season. They are well on track to get more than 100 points which is remarkable.
West Ham certainly improved with David Moyes took charge and he has taken them away from the bottom three. They have slipped in the past week though with a 4-1 loss to Leicester and a loss at the weekend in the FA Cup. They might be outside the bottom three, but they have the same amount of points as Bournemouth in 18th and their game in hand will be gone tonight.
Any points against a side like Liverpool would be a bonus for West Ham. However, we just can’t see past a Liverpool win here. Obviously Klopp’s men have been excellent this season, but West Ham have conceded far too many goals for anyone to think that they can stop Liverpool from winning tonight. Liverpool can cover the handicap here and we like them at odds against to cover the 1.5 goal handicap – 2.04 looks too big and Liverpool can bag another impressive win.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Liverpool -1.5 goals to beat West Ham at 2.04.

- West Ham’s Michail Antonio has scored in four of his five Premier League appearances against Liverpool, netting four goals; only Jamie Vardy (7) and Harry Kane (5) have scored more goals against Klopp’s Liverpool than Antonio’s tally of four.
- Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah scored in his first four Premier League games in London for the Reds (five goals) but has since failed to find the net in his last nine matches in the capital.
