PURPLE PATCH: Kelechi Iheanacho has been enjoying his best form in recent weeks and has hit a Purple Patch ahead of this weekend’s FA Cup Final against Chelsea.
As Leicester City harness hopes of a first FA Cup trophy as well as a second stint in the Champions League, much of their recent success has been down to the form of Kelechi Iheanacho.
The Nigerian striker has been in tremendous form recently and his goals are a large reason why the Foxes find themselves where they are.
Iheanacho has scored 14 goals in his last 12 appearances for Leicester – a streak that has included a hat-trick against Sheffield United and a brace against West Ham in the Premier League, while he also scored twice against Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-final.
As well as his impressive goal haul, he’s set up three goals in the 14-game sequence showing he’s helping the team as well as adding to his own personal goal tally.
In addition to the sides already mentioned he’s also found the target against Burnley, Brighton, West Brom, Crystal Palace and Newcastle in the league, while he also managed to score against Brighton again as well as Southampton in the FA Cup.
With a FA Cup final on Saturday and two vital Premier League games to come, Leicester will be banking on Iheanacho keeping his shooting boots on.
