Whilst there was plenty to like about Prince Of All’s debut at the Curragh in October when he finished third to Aidan O’Brien’s Century, I really can’t be supporting him at odds on tonight at Dundalk.
He is currently around 1.7 to take the 7.45pm race but there are plenty of unexposed types who could easily improve.
I’m also not willing to guess he will handle the Polytrack at odds-on. He makes his debut on the artificial surface and it’s a short price you are being asked to take to prove he can.
I’m not sure the Curragh form is working out that well. And I’m not really talking about the winner Century who flopped big time at Doncaster in the Racing Post Trophy – that’s a Group 1 so it’s a bit harsh to throw that in as a negative against Prince Of All.
What’s more interesting though is that the fourth in the race, Bush Pilot, was also fourth subsequently in an average looking maiden at Navan.
It’s my third LAY NAP OF THE YEAR !!!
