FRIDAY NIGHT AT DUNDALK: Shamrock heads to Dundalk on Friday after his naps sequence 1112216 was dealt a blow with a poor run from Bainne at Tipperary last night.
I was disappointed with Bainne last night. I really fancied her to land the place nap but she never looked like getting competitive for the drop back to 5f and I have officially given up on that project.
Hopefully we can bounce back to form at Dundalk tonight.
The maiden at 8.10 looks competitive judged by the BETDAQ market with Manhattan Swing and Majenta disputing favouritism.
Both were third on debut but I prefer the more recent effort of Majenta, and the fact that her third came here at Dundalk.
She stayed on nicely over a mile to finish behind Pearl Of Africa and the favourite Harpist and should improve for that effort and the step-up in trip tonight.
The form of Manhattan Swing’s Navan race has worked out brilliantly but that was 191 days ago on heavy ground and he isn’t particularly strong in the market here.
