DUNDALK NAP: Listed race at Dundalk tonight and SHAMROCK is drawn to a British raider who impressed on debut at Newbury.
A good run from the NAP yesterday, Flemish, who was leading at the last at Tramore but overhauled on the run-in to finish second at 4/1.
Dundalk race tonight and the feature race is the Star Appeal Stakes – a Listed event over seven furlongs at 7pm.
William Haggas can do little wrong at present and it’s interesting to see the Newmarket handler send a rare runner over with Executive Force who made a winning debut at Newbury.
Soft ground Newbury form is hard to equate to the all-weather here but course form at Newbury is usually well above average and Executive Force looked smart when beating Dark Power – who won himself next time out at Nottingham.
Fellow British raider Rebel De Lope travels over from Lambourn but his form looks a little more exposed. A bigger danger may come from first time out course and distance winner Ambassadorial who steps up in grade but won well on debut.
