Eight competitive races at Dundalk tonight, and it looks mighty tough for punters.
One that interested me was Shepherd’s Purse in the six furlong handicap at 7.30pm.
He races off top weight here but is consistent and the drop back to six might help. He does have a regular habit of fly leaping from the stalls (which isn’t ideal) but with a clean start and on better terms should be able to reverse course and distance form with Geological who beat him a length when the pair were first and second here in December.
Split The Atom was a close up fourth that day and should again be in the mix.
