DUNDALK NAP: SHAMROCK bids to follow up a winning nap yesterday with a best bet at Dundalk tonight.
A short priced winning nap on Thursday with Capital Force (WON 4/9) yesterday at Thurles but it got pretty desperate towards the finish.
He went from looking an easy winner two out to only just holding on by a head with the late surge from the second favourite Sharps Choice.
Dundalk stage an eight race card tonight starting at 4.55pm.
In the 7.00, the David Marnane trained Alfredo Arcano looks the banker on the card. He bids for a course hat-trick after wins over the five and six furlong courses and steps up a further furlong tonight.
He was staying on strongly here last month to win easily over six and should find the extra distance well within his grasp.
Fizzy Friday looks the obvious danger after her debut course and distance win here in November but she hasn’t been seen since. The form looks solid enough (third has won subsequently) but she may just need this after a break and comes up against a bang in form Alfredo Arcano.
