ACTION AT LAST: SHAMROCK heads to Dundalk for his best bet of the day on Friday running in the one mile maiden at 6pm.
Pure Action should finally record a first win in the maiden at Dundalk tonight.
The John Feane trained runner has been placed six times from nine starts but his overall form, as the official ratings show, suggest he has plenty in hand over this field.
He has plenty of experience too here at Dundalk – his first four races were all on the all-weather surface here.
He went closest yet to a first win at Cork last time out when pipped on the line – beaten a nose and should gain that overdue first success here.
The field is packed with some real disappointing sorts and despite there being 15 runners there are few that can be given any semblance of a chance.
Biggest danger is probably Presidential who has shown some reasonable form (mainly over six furlongs) on the turf but is an unknown quantity on the all-weather.
