GLORY HAS PLENTY OF APPEAL: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the Listed Star Appeal Stakes over seven furlongs at Dundalk tonight.
Old Glory should be able to cope with the step up in class and make it two wins from two starts in the Listed Star Appeal Stakes at Dundalk tonight.
The Aidan O’Brien trained runner stayed on nicely to win at Naas on debut in a big field and the runner-up has run well since.
The trainer is certainly not averse to running some of his better class horses here at Dundalk and won this for four consecutive years between 2012 and 2015 when Hit It A Bomb won before going on to win the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf at Keeneland.
The danger is likely come from Inverleigh who was second to Lethal Promise in a Listed race at Fairyhouse last time out over six furlongs and should appreciate the extra furlong.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Old Glory (7.30 Dundalk)
