DUNDALK FRIDAY NIGHT NAP: SHAMROCK looks ahead to the 7.30 on tonight’s Dundalk card. It’s a maiden over a mile and a half. Yesterday’s nap KEMBOY WON 11/8.
Another strong performance from Kemboy who landed yesterday’s nap at 11/8 when winning the Clonmel Oil Chase yesterday. He keeps on improving and showed plenty of tenacity in the closing stages.
It would come as a huge surprise if Wajaaha didn’t prove good enough to record his first win in the 1m 4f maiden on tonight’s Dundalk card.
The Denis Hogan trained runner, a son of New Approach, has built up a sequence of three runner-up spots in as many races and now races for the first time since leaving the Saeed bin Suroor yard.
He’s run well on the all-weather so that’s a positive and the step up to this trip should hopefully prove to be another one.
Dawn Trouper is the danger but this one looks even more exposed than the selection.
